**updated on 08/06 I have received a full refund for the amount I paid for the room. I was offered to have the difference between the cost of the room and the cost of alternative rooms elsewhere paid for, until i showed the owner that the nearest available room was 150 because there was an event on at the NEC that weekend, which meant everywhere else was either booked or really expensive. I was NEVER contacted about the website change or asked to reconfirm my booking 4 weeks in advance. This is an outright lie. This was never told to me at the time of booking, anytime since booking, nor was it told to me on the day when I turned up and was told I had no booking.** I booked a room in January, got emailed a confirmation of my booking and a receipt for the cost of the room. I arrived 3 hours ago to check in and the person that answered the door said they had no record of my booking. So now I'm out of pocket for the cost of the room and don't have a place to stay within 20 miles that doesn't cost 150!
