So I really feel a 2 is a generous rating for my experience from start to finish at myskinspa. I started off in birmingham and every laser treatment I had was with a different clinician which I dont think is a good customer journey being as though its already quite uncomfortable. Birmingham was shut and so I moved to solihull. I had covid in July and had to notify myskinspa to let them know I couldnt make the appointment, after it being almost impossible getting someone to contact me back I was told I would have to pay a 25 cancellation charge which I felt was very unfair considering circumstances and then there was a post on their instagram shortly after about if people cancel their appointments it can lead to their course being terminated. I just felt this was so rude as it was immediately after Id spoke to someone about the cancellation charge. I finally get jodie on my last 4 appointments and honestly if my review was based on her it would be 5 starts, she was amazing. However after starting another course of 3 laser sessions and paying a 25 deposit I was told the day of my appointment not to come in because Jodie wasnt going to be in work, and that this would be the last day in Solihull and from then on it would be in Stourbridge which is miles away from my house, I asked for my deposit to be refunded and Ill find a laser clinic closer to home but 2 weeks later after a colleague had assured me the manager will be getting back to me my texts have been ignored and I have not been refunded. My whole experience was very poor.

Its very difficult to give an overall score for this company as your treatment solely depends on the clinician you have; as you can imagine their competence and approach has a profound effect on the success and results of your treatment. If you have Jodie you are in safe hands. She has a high level of professionalism and was really good at performing my laser treatment. I take a star off from my scoring as I have had three others during my course and some I felt were doing a very rushed job, one Im not sure even was capable of completely selecting the right settings of laser for the right areas for the individual. I think Ive been very generous with a 4* review, my comments have been very fair to give anyone reading it an idea of my experience. Fingers crossed you get Jodie or other that is similar and youll be very happy. Shame they cant be a little more consistent in their standards, hence why I leave this review.
