Friendly but unhelpful. He was really responsive and took my laptop in really quickly, which was great. We contacted after hearing nothing from him. He said he'd got our number down wrong so hadn't been able to contact us. He'd also written the email address down wrongly (.gmail instead of @gmail, which is worrying for a computer guy). Was told laptop was unfixable (which we agree with) and then given a 70 bill for data recovery. He was very elusive about cost even when asked. If he'd told us how much it would cost upfront, we wouldn't have done it as there was hardly anything of value on the hard drive anyway. Partner did all the communication with him and says he was very friendly and accommodating. Did give some advice about buying a new laptop.
