I have been coming to The Cuckfield for many many years now. Its always one of the first places that comes to mind when arranging a catch up with friends and even perfect for a first date. There is a warm atmosphere and nice food with friendly staff. Ive had birthdays here and many nights out. Its an extremely popular local pub so if you are planing on coming on a weekend or a public holiday expect it to be very busy. There is a lovely seating area outside also. It has changed hands I believe since I first started coming here and is what Id describe as a gastro pub but it still has a local feel to it. These pictures are over many years of being a visitor at this lovely local establishment. So many special occasions celebrated here.

Avoid Avoid!! The food was something I would never want to experiance again. For starters we had the Camabert in sourdough bread - the bread was rock hard, thank god we have our own teeth. For main we had the roasts - meat was OK but everything else was awful. Yorkshire puddings were rock hard and cold. The potatoes were raw, the parsnips were cold and hard. Then the interesting part - The service or LACK OF!!! The young man served us tried his best and was nice but then our wine was literally dropped on our table by a young lady who was chewing on a tooth pick , she then left the bucket and walked off. I think she saw the look on our faces as she came back to ask if the wine was ours!!!! The best part of the meal was getting the bill.
