Having paid into a dental plan monthly and having absolutely no contact from the practice from March 2020 until March 2022 I was left with a large amount of built up money which was suggested could be used for cosmetic treatment. On starting that process it became apparent the owners had decided against their originally suggested plan to use my money and opted to simply "write it off" - 300!
Further promises were made to myself regarding treatment plans and my built up sum which were also revised later down the line.
I would avoid becoming entangled with such people. Communication via phone, email or letter is all incredibly poor, they have no respect for paying patients and I am sorry to say I have left the practice on bad terms.

They wanted to book another appointment to remove the tooth and quoted over 300. I explained I couldn't afford that, but they said I needed to have that follow-up appointment but told me that I would need to confirm if I wanted that appointment that they booked for me, otherwise it wouldn't be booked.
After a month they sent letters out asking for 50 saying I owed them this money. I rang them and spoke to the lady at reception, who told me it was for a missed appointment. I told her I didn't confirm the appointment, so why would it be a missed appointment. Furthermore, I explained my situation that I had not much money and couldn't afford 300+. She told me not to worry about it and that they would sort it out. Another month later and I get a debt collection letter from Milestone Ltd demanding 50 payment to Young's Dentist.
Why are dentists so greedy? What's the extra 50 for? For office drinks or something? I hate dentists, they are the worse kind of people on this planet. Greedy and knowing they can take advantage of people because of pain and risk of death. It's time dentists were forced to accept NHS prices instead of getting away with charging a fortune for health care.
