Chandos Lodge Nursing Home

I wouldnt put my hamster in this place if it was on life support. Communication has been absolutely appalling. The way they treat their patients alive or deceased is also absolutely disgusting. If you would like your relative to come out alive.. I wouldnt bother with this place.

Disgusting treatment from this home. My grandad was here for a few weeks . Within the first few days of being there they had randomly shaved his head completely bold ! He originally had medium length hair so we have no idea why this was even done they literally took his identity away he did not look himself at all. There was no explanation to why they did this. There was also another incident to where we found a deep cut on his head , again there was no explanation how this happened. My grandad has recently passed away to which the main cause was pneumonia which had gone unnoticed for weeks by the staff in this home! The staff are very rude and not sympathetic at all. we picked up our grandads belongings to which was just thrown into a black bag and sent on our way. The communication is just awful too and Im glad my grandad only had to deal with this awful place for just a few weeks. This place needs shutting down I would not put a dog in this place.

My mother has spent a period of 4 weeks in Chandos Lodge whilst she is being assessed. The nursing care she has received has been first rate and I have seen a good improvement in her health since she was admitted to Chandos Lodge. The carers have been kind and supportive to her. She has been showered daily and her clothes changed. They often stop by for a chat with her. Physiotherapy, chiropodist and hairdressing appointments have been made for her as well as the doctor visiting her at Chandos to give her regular checks. The manager is a pleasant and accomodating man. The cook has worked with me in meeting her dietary needs. She is monitored through the night and this makes her feel safe.

My great grandmother came to Chandos Lodge and was expected to only have a few days/weeks to live. Fast forward 7 years and she has been taken such good care of by all of the staff here. We just celebrated her 100th birthday (which in itself tells what great care she's received!), it was so lovely to see how she is really part of the Chandos Lodge family and how much they love her. The party/gathering Chandos Lodge put on for her was absolutly brilliant. We all, but most importantly my great-grandmother loved it! Would highly recommend on all aspects!

I had an interview yesterday but their was no interview questions. I found the own Mrs Hayat very rude and asked me lots of personal questions nothing relating to the actual job. But it seemed that they wanted me to work for them. The manager and owner wanted me to do a paid trial the next day which I agreed but as soon as I asked them for some form of written contract and not a verbal agreement. They message me on my phone stating that I was not sending out a good look to the owner and they cancelled my trial and then told me that the job was no longer available. I'm so happy I didn't do the trial I now realize they might of not paid me. Please be careful with companies like this!!
