Bright Horizons Slough Day Nursery and Preschool

Despite being rated 'Outstanding' by Ofsted, I have some very profound concerns about this nursery. Our 1 year old daughter was dragged across the room by a member of staff, which was reported by another concerned parent who witnessed the incident. There were two members of staff present, so it suggests some very real issues with the culture that they did not raise this of their own accord, and that this was only escalated once the another parent reported the incident. An investigation of sorts occurred, and the outcome was wholly unsatisfactory, with no communication to other parents as to what occurred and what measures were being taken to ensure that something like this would never happen again. Surely you'd want to know if a member of staff was being investigated for physical abuse of a minor at your child's nursery? We removed our daughter from the nursery immediately, and thankfully she has recovered from her experience. There are many other excellent nurseries within the area, that may only be rated 'Good', but we saw an acceleration in our daughter's development and overall happiness almost immediately once we she changed nurseries. It was no coincidence I'm sure.
