I used HT Howard many years ago so I went straight back there when I needed some work done on a cylinder head for the Rover V8 engine in my Challenger E-Type I was pleasantly surprised by how quickly they did the job and in keeping me posted on progress. Very friendly and helpful.

Mike was very helpful, I need 2 bushing/sleeves for Audi rs6 I Could not find them anywhere online, Mike had them custom made for me, and he had the job done very quick and at a reasonable price. Was very happy with the quality of work, would definitely recommend.

Firstly, I would like to say that HT Howard provides an excellent service and that I could find no fault or blemish in what I had machined (2.8i Capri Cylinder Heads). My issue lies with the outstanding price. I will post the invoice below with the highlighted area of concern. The original quote was under 700. I can understand that there would be a substantial increase in price due to unknown factors being brought to light, however the pricing for the removal of 3 broken studs within the heads I found a little excessive at nearly 420 excluding VAT. HT Howard did inform me of some difficulties regarding extraction and offered to return the cylinder heads to me but I felt it would not be a good course of action to either install the semi-machined heads or have them taken to a workshop as that would be unfair on the next contractor. If you would wish to pursue HT Howards services I would recommend asking for a written final price quote rather than a vocal one to save you some peace of mind. Looking at the reviews it would seem I am thankfully in a minority but I would still proceed with some caution before reaching an agreement.
