L and Q don't care if my property is so unsafe that I could die. They will rehouse me only in rough areas and won't take me off their register. They never show up for repairs, you will have to wait months. Customer service is robotic and unhelpful. My blood will spill on the streets of slough and they don't care at all. I just need help.

NIGHTMARE TO GET IN - NIGHTMARE TO GET OUT! We have been in the process of selling our shared ownership property since February 2020 and had nothing but issues! We secured a buyer back in February and 5 months into the process they pulled out. This was largely due to the length of time it takes for both L&Q and Devonshires (their solicitors) to respond to queries & enquiries. (Both myself and the buyer were chain free, so couldnt have been more simple) We are now 4 weeks in with our new buyers and my solicitor still hasnt received the documents to proceed with the sale from Devonshires irrespective of the number of attempts to contact them. Hadnt even received confirmation of receipt until yesterday when they came back and said they are still waiting for information from their client!!! Sent an email to L&Q resales back on 03/08 asking for my case to be dealt with by management and a contact whom I can call and get them to chase their solicitors to prevent the same situation with the buyers happening again and still yet to have a response. On the rare occasion they answer the phone when you call, they just tell you that they have over 700 emails in the inbox due to the stamp duty holiday. As if this justifies the lack of response. We had a terrible few months when buying the property almost 3 years ago but we persevered and just thought we had a bad experience. This however appears to be normality where L&Q & their solicitors are concerned. Would strongly advise anyone against purchasing a property from L&Q. We cant wait for this nightmare to be over!
