Reading the reviews and people's comments, and judging from my own experience today, I am coming to the conclusion that not this A&E is the problem, but 111 and entitled patients are. I am on BP medication, and yet my BP was 172/120 this morning. I phoned 111 to try and get a GP to see me. The very bored, very short consultant from 111 phoned me back within 2 mins, and said I had to go straight to A&E because I was at a high risk of immediate stroke or heart attack (you bet that helped a lot with the high blood pressure!). I asked if that was really necessary, why couldn't I just see a GP, no, you need to go to A&E. Arriving there, everything that was in this hospital's power went smoothly. 80-90% of the people in the waiting room did NOT need an emergency department!! They had small cuts to their thumb or to their cheek and were chatting away with their company. The doctor who I saw after roughly 1,25 hours was very kind and reassuring. He told me that 111 simply can't be bothered, don't want to take any responsibility and therefore are sending people straight to emergency when they don't need to be there. And to everyone with a ridiculous little cut to your finger: Minor injuries unit in Bracknell will treat you just right and open space for the real emergencies!

Waited 7 hours before being seen for post concussion syndrome. Waited nearly two hours for CT, apparently forgot I was waiting and Dr reminded staff I needed CT. Cant do anything for persistent headache and gave me morphine while there and one hour later I was sent home with cocodamol.

I was very impressed with how organised and how friendly the staff was when I brought my son into A &E who was suffering chest pain. He was dealt with swiftly and professionally. Lucas one of the drs was fantastic. I couldn't fault the service we received today. Thank you very much .
