Just had a four night stay in our Motorhome. Lovely views, clean and well managed site. Very quiet at night. Clean grey and brown waste facilities. EHU AND Water at each pitch. We did use ramps but not totally necessary. Whilst there are no showers or toilets, we did use the public loos about 200 metres from the site. These were very clean and well maintained. You can easily catch the bus to Whitby, which takes about 10 minutes and cost about 3.

This site does have loverly views.. that's it there is nothing else good about this site..the hard standing is not hard unless we are using marshmallow as a base setting. the caravan legs just sink into the road planings that have just been thrown down over the pink and white confectionery. Our van was impossible to level as the pitch was on such a slope there must be well over a foot difference from one side to the other of the van .the owner assured me it had been lazer levelled and was a bit confused how it had become more like the rocky mountains than a campsite. I was also assured there was a good 8 inches of hard core and stone beneath the road and no sugary based ingredients were used in the construcion of the road. We has to move pitches twice to find a hard enough spot to get level. The turn into the pitch is impossible so you have to reverse up a slope to get into the pitch which was very hard in the clutch. you pay for 5 electricity on arrival this was gone in under 12 hours we text the owner for more but we're left without any for 6 hours. the owner turned up eventually and put some more credit on for us and very helpfully explained to me that caravans are not very well insulated and use a vast amount of electricity and wasn't surprised I'd ran out because because I'd driven so far and all the electric appliances inside needed rebooting and charging up so that did explain why I'd used more electric on the night of arrival than the population of Birmingham. Be prepared to spend at least 5 a day on electricity about double of my house. I won't be coming again however it does have the potential to be fantastic after about 300 ton of soil has been removed to level and a change of ownership from this compulsive bullshi**er

Just stayed there booked for 6 nights stayed 5 only thing going for this site is the view but saying that the hedges are now growing very tight spaces and the electric is well over charged 30 for 4 nights when we had the heating on gas and the fridge and the owner will not answer the phone all he says is text me if you need me which we did and he took all day to reply this is a site where I will never go back to and advise others not to bother there are better sites around that area I am not a fussy person at all but I was so annoyed with this chap ripping you off just be aware please

Just got back from a lovely weekend in our caravan staying at this CL site. A very peaceful clean site with stunning views across the valley, where you can see the Pickering to Whitby railway line and the steam train. Lots of walks, it is an adult site only which suites us now that our children have grown up. Great for walkers who want the quiet life away from the hustle and bustle. Local butchers, bakery, pub and fish and chips just a short walk away.
