Just to be clear, this practitioner is NOT a Chiropodist/Podiatrist. There is a world of difference between the training, skill set and scope of practice of Chiropodists/Podiatrists and Foot Health/Care Practitioners. Also Foot Health/Care Practitioners are not regulated by law.

I booked an appointment for a routine foot care appointment. I had a bit if roughness on the side of my foot, but nothing I don't usually pumice myself. But I thought I would treat my trotters. I have used foot health (chiropodist) services before, but have never before come away limping and in pain days later like I did this time. Despite saying how good my feet were I was charged 26 for about 10 minutes of work. I thought it would cost 22 and looking back at the website it clearly states it would cost 22. This aside, the main problems relate to the service experience. While I accept that sometimes you need to be a bit forceful, the treatment was rough and a painful experience throughout. It caused even myself to wince and recoil in pain multiple times. Never have I experienced this before. On the big toe he cut the nail way too short causing it to bleed and days later remains very sore. To top it off, I think it's now infected, so thanks for that. Another example was when he dug out a nail, that I had experienced no problem with, which normally I would have no problem with him doing. However when you are stabbed under the nail with some sharp scissor type clippers wiithout warning, this caused me to recoil in pain. An awful experience that I would never want to experience again.
