The Growling Shrew (Bottle Shop)

We come on holiday once or twice a year to nearby Gargrave and The Growling Shrew has become my first port of call to stock up on beers for the week, after discovering it in October 2021. An amazing selection of craft beers which are completely different each time. The owner is extremely helpful and friendly too. Looking forward to my next visit!

This was a real find during our day trip to Skipton in the summer, so much so that on our recent day out to the Christmas Market we visited again. We also recommended it to family who paid a visit during their holiday. With a great selection of interesting and unusual beers on offer, and very importantly a friendly welcome, this is a truly special bottle shop. Already planning our next escape from Stoke-on-Trent, so we hope to visit again next year.

Brilliant staff ever so friendly to me and wife and chance to try a new cider out never drunk before. If you like your beers then this concept would be great for you.

What a find - great selection of beers and some of the nicest gins we've ever tried. Helpful owners who provided great information about things to do in Skipton and provided a very generous gin tasting. Great place for a pre dinner drink not just to buy bottles.
