Quite well maintained and fairly easy to operate. However, there is a likelihood of getting stuck in the mud whilst waiting to get the gate open. Be aware the farmer, who is based on the far side of the canal and who uses the bridge for access, can be a little "forceful" towards canal users if the bridge is open when he wishes to get his tractors, and various caravans/motor homes (to his campsite) across the canal.
