Good location just behind the High Street and close to the market. It's a fairly small store but has all the things you normally find in a W H Smith. Good selection of magazines, quality cards and stationery, and books/games for children though not a big selection of books for adults. Bought a nice address book here. Very cheerful and friendly young man at the cash desk.

The service was appalling i am in fact very embarrassed as I live in Skipton and the shop was quite small it was very pricey and not to mention the stuff I was told to get out of the store because I asked where the hand sanitizer was. And I think that is a very relevant question to ask as I find myself here writing a very bad review

Appalling service when I visited the Skipton store yesterday afternoon. Having selected my purchase I joined the queue of three at the till front of store. At that time till was unmanned We all waited patiently to pay for what seemed to be an extraordinary length of time. All tho our wait we could hear a loud and prolonged conversation going on between two members of staff standing at the bottom of an aisle. These two seemed to be the only staff available. The two young men were not discussing anything important, just lads stuff. As a result of this, one by one, all four of us left the store without completing our purchase. Due to the indifference, or indeed disrespect, shown to customers I certainly will not be hurrying back. Skipton is losing more than enough shops already without hastening the process through rank bad service.
