The Dog and Gun Inn

Visited Tuesday 2nd May ~ food is really nice quality. We thought it was a little over priced but were happy to pay it. We had two things that we found a bit irritating. Firstly we had to wait 50 minutes before having any bread, and then when it was time to exit the time taken to bring over the card machine seemed like an endless wait. Hmm, mixed bag - we felt the service was missing the care and attention that should accompany a high end experience.

The food is fantastic. We went for my wife's 60th birthday meal and it's worth every penny, especially considering the quality. Good atmosphere too- feels like a pub and not a snooty high end restaurant. Only one slight mis step with the service, meaning we waited a long time between starter and main, but otherwise the team are fabulous. We'll be back!
