Sam Robinson Dry Stone Walling

Sam and Ben did a great job rebuilding a retaining wall, which required them to cope with shifting some very large blocks of stone. The job was done quickly, efficiently, with a minimum of mess, and at a very fair price.

Rebuilt a beautiful drystone wall that had originally been dismantled by previous owner. The ground was certainly not easy and new stone was required to make up the balance. The wall looks like it has been there decades and Sam has carefully worked old and new stone together so it looked good from the outset. We had the opportunity to speak with Sam multiple times prior to starting the job and he was flexible throughout. Would thoroughly recommend and will definitely be going back to Sam again for the walls at the front of my house.

Sam, and his associate Ben, have fully reconstructed two 30m sections of drystone wall for me in South Cumbria. One of the two was on difficult ground, the other was just really hard work. The results in both cases are things of beauty, combining functional strength and presence with a tremendous aesthetic form. I smile when I look at them - the walls I mean, not the wallers, obviously. Highly recommended.
