        My children have been going to Spear for 12 months and their enthusiasm is as high, if not higher, than when they first began. This is in no small part to the excellent instructors who have a friendly and fun style to their teaching whilst still maintaining the discipline I signed up for. I can see that the other children really enjoy their lessons and respect the instructors enough to know that there is a time for fun and a time to focus. If you are in any doubt about your child starting a new skill I would strongly encourage you to come down and have a couple of taster sessions that Spear generously offer. There is also a strong ethos of being part of a club/community and there is an emphasis on encouragement and recognition of achievement, which in turn is reflected in the self esteem given to the participants.
