After a call to 111 I was told to head to the urgent treatment centre to see a dr. Expecting to have a lengthy wait I was surprised to get in very quickly and taken to triage . I was then transferred to a treatment room and within 5 mins I was then seen by a dr and quickly received the treatment I needed. Requiring further meds I was told to head to Morrisons pharmacy where a prescription had been sent. The whole process took around an hour and a bit. I fully appreciate we were lucky in that we arrived at a quieter time which Im sure is rare, however it wasnt just the speed of care it was the efficiency of the staff, the efficiency of the process and the interaction we received from first arrival to when we left. Equipment needed for me was retrieved quickly and I was checked on frequently. I expected when we got to Morrisons to collect the prescription that it wouldnt be waiting as the whole thing had been far too easy, but as promised it was there. I suffer with a chronic condition and I was reluctant to Start the ball rolling in calling 111 telling myself Id be ok as I thought any help would mean sitting down a and e or the treatment centre for hours, so my heart sank when I was told I needed to go. But it wasnt the case at all and knowing how easy it was I would definitely call sooner next time. A fact which also keeps me safer. The NHS get criticised so often and wait times can be mind blowing and frustrating, but the care I received yesterday was definitely NHS working at its very best. Thank you!

Very dirty and waiting times are very long under staffed or a very bad lack of communication I would not go here unless your prepared for 6+ hour wait

Attended the Urgent Treatment Centre with my daughter who needed medical attention. The two nurses, the doctor and the staff on the reception desk gave exceptional service, not only to my daughter and myself but also to additional patients who attended while we were there. Not only was the care exceptional but they were reassuring and tentative.
