Upon our arrival we had to wait nearly 30 mins to gain access to the hotel as nobody answers the smart doorbell. I tried calling the two mobile numbers I had (one which was written on the door) and left a message, but nobody got back to me. By this time my daughter was in need of the loo quite urgently, so in desperation I went walking around the side of the hotel windows where I was seen by a man, who would later give his name as Ian. I said we'd been waiting and he asked me if I pressed the bell, which I stated I had several times. After being shown our room (No.2 - First Floor) we finally had time to settle in, but I could see that the floor hadn't been cleaned and my daughter found to be what looked like pieces chocolate on the floor, which we put in the bin. We found mould I'm the bathroom and around the window. The wardrobe was I very wobbly and the cups weren't clean. The extractor fan in the bathroom didn't work and the bathroom also had a smell of burning which was worrying. The lamp bases were very unclean as they were touch lamps. There were brown marks near the toilet and the whole bathroom has a slope. From memory this hotel had 4 stars so I was shocked to be in a dirty twin room. The goods points were that the shower worked and the fridge kept our water cold.
