Stayed in the old hayloft June 2022. Excellent property, owners family really friendly. Really quiet location. Stayed twice definitely recommended.

Stayed here for 4 nights in June, lovely long winding drive into where the farm cottages are, a little confusion of where to park on arrival as no signs but after being shown, parking is outside the barn opposite the sheep field. Janet and her son John are lovely, made us feel very welcome and told us places we can go in the local area. We stayed in meadow cottage which meant we had a huge bay window at the front to look out to where the sheep were which was a brilliant sight to see, we even managed to watch them being shaved in the barn! We had such a great time there that we've booked to go back later on in the year for a week. It's a central place to get to all other places, we ventured out to Whitby, Sandsend, Rievaulx Abbey, Hutton Le Hole and trip into the Yorkshire Moors where the sheep are out in the road and on the Moors, another brilliant sight to see. We highly recommend Cowldyke Farm and can't wait to go back
