        A lovely place to stay. Quiet and restful . We spent a week here in early July 2021 and the location was excellent for local attractions and also for cycling as quiet country lanes and fairly flat, being in the Pickering valley. The cottage was clean and comfortable, kitchen had all modern facilities for cooking . Was better than going abroad, as we usually do. John

        Summerfield farm cottage is a perfect base for a family group of 3 or 4. It's very clean and bright, airy and spacious and contains pretty well everything you could need. The welcome back of eggs was delicious! The cottage is in a quiet position but is within easy reach of Helmsley and only 6 miles from Kirkby Moorside. Whitby, Scarborough and York are all within easy driving distance and there are many attractive destinations to be found in the area. Fiona was a thoughtful hostess and is readily for problems or advice.
