    I took my car in to get the suspension looked at, the garage owner John Mellor was very friendly and we had a conversation about items on my car which needed to be investigated. I provided a list to his partner Shelly and asked her to look at the items. 1 week later I find out that John had done work on my car without my authority and billed me 997.00. (they deny this saying that I authorised all the work). John was verbally abusive to me and intimidating. Once I collected the car and paid the bill under protest, I put the key in the ignition to start the car and it would not start, even though they replaced the battery. They fixed this issue. However, when the car was returned the window washers would not work, along with the parking sensors, which both worked prior to taking it into the garage. The following day I heard a noise from the front of the car which ended up being brake noise. I took the car back, and john was verbally abusive to me - and ended up physically poking me in the eye causing injury to my eye. I have reported this to the police which they have interviewed John Mellor under caution which of course he has denied the assault, but admitted to the verbal abuse. John, is a very friendly man, and actually is a nice guy - however be careful if you are unsatisfied with his work, and ask for a phone call for every bit of work to be done. Even though he has denied assault - should a business owner - verbally abuse a customer if they are unsatisfied with the work carried out?
