My father in law is receiving excellent care at The Gables- thank you. The staff are really caring and nothing is too much trouble.

My Mother has been a resident at The Gables for nearly two years. In the time before lockdown we as a family were impressed at the way the staff were friendly kind and supportive of us and mum during a very traumatic time. The Gables is family run and they have a loyal group of staff who work together to make sure that the residents are treated as part of their extended family meeting individual needs .Entertainment and outings were enjoyed and visitors welcomed anytime and involved as much as possible. During lockdown we were able to use Skype and interact with mum with the help of carers which was helpful then garden visits again better than Skype. Now we have the pod which is great now the weather is not good lam so glad we chose the Gables thank you for all the love and care you provide in such difficult times keeping our loved ones safe and a big thank you to the cleaning staff and catering staff not forgetting the gardener handyman you all do a fantastic job to make a lovely place to live

The Gables in Silsden is absolutely great! Small, friendly and family-run, the team has done a great job looking after my dad since he moved there a few months ago. It's rare these days to find a care home that's not run by accountants and number crunchers as part of some some large company, where cost-cutting and profit is the norm. The Gables is a refreshing change - clean, tidy and the staff really caring about the residents. Each one is treated as part of "their family". There's no smell of boiled cabbage or wee wee and everyone is friendly and courteous. The food is genuinely homemade and plenty of it too! Before lockdown, there was a comprehensive programme of activities. They have been absolutely on the case to keep Coronavirus out but quickly put in place Skype and FaceTime chats plus visits using social distancing measures. Five stars all round!

I cannot rate the nursing home highly enough. My mum spent the last weeks of her life there and the care, understanding and compassion was second to none. I will be forever grateful for their care and love that they showed towards my mum, especially in these Covid times. Julia & family
