Solway Logisitics is working at and with ABP Port of Silloth to extend the land use adjacent to the port, clearing old debris from the area between their leased land and the current area used for public parking and access to West Beach. The spoils from clearing this land have been deposited over many years from the demolition of the old railways and sidings and will now be recycled and moved to form a new access to the beach as part of the coastal footpath program. As these are works in progress and may take some months to finalise and get looking pretty again, please acknowledge that Solway Logistics are helping create this walkway section as their donation to the public access route to West Beach and a small section of the England Coastal Path. An excellent contribution to both local and national access infrastructure and safety of pedestrians by separating pedestrians from vehicular traffic. There are one or two people locally taking pictures and posting them in a negative way on social sites about waste on the site, this forms part of the remains of what was once a thriving port, demolished during the 60's and 70's and it is being moved around the site to help it degrade, create a more scenic area and safer access to the beach. Any photographs posted currently would be like taking a picture of a cake, halfway through mixing the ingredients..... a complete waste of time.

I am writing to comment one of Solway Logistics delivery drivers who stopped and help us when we had a puncture. He changed the wheel in a matter of minutes. My wife is disabled and I am no youngster so his kindness and courteousness was verry much appreciated. I have no doubt that he reflects the high standards of his company . Well done,
