Just had Sunday lunch. Chef recommended the brisket (17) and said that I wouldn't be disappointed. Sorry chef. I only had one mouthful. It tasted off and I've still got serious indegestion 90 minutes later. Beware of chef's recommendations - still had to pay for it. I hope it goes to a good home (one of the many dogs knocking about). Many years ago you could get a really nice burger and home-made chips. Now its gone so-called up market (is brisket really 'up market?). If you are responsible enough to recommend something then you should have the authority to scratch the bill if it goes wrong. And I'm pleased that you can't hear the blowback from my stomach.
