This is a good pub serving a good selection of drinks. The garden is nice and the location across the road from a children's park makes it ideal for an afternoon out.

Village pub with a cosy atmosphere, decent food and a respectable selection of ales, ciders and liquors. I particularly enjoy this pub after taking a walk around the old Roman town of Caleva, which can be started from the vicinity of the pub. This is also one of the few places in the area where I have been able to find HSB which is a fond favourite ale of mine.

Came for dinner for 2, food was average the nachos were ok, out of a packet not home made which is not what I expect for a 9 starter (or almost double for a main). The chicken burgers were deep fried to death, which removed any of their southern flavouring and made them very dry. Have been previously and it was excellent, maybe there has been a staff change but its no longer worth the premium prices they are charging.
