After researching various national shutter businesses it became clear that we were far better off going local. The alternatives were mostly MDF and plastic. We were immediately reassured after meeting John that we could have real hardwood crafted in Devon. Everything happened as promised, the quote never altered and undercut the competition with far superior materials. The fitters were professional, experienced and involved in the manufacturing. The shutters themselves are beautifully made in contemporary grey, which we love, and the brass fittings look authentic. We wouldnt hesitate to recommend Devon Shutter Company Ltd and we only had to look within our own county, which is much greener than using the national alternative. When you invite people into your home you have to really trust them, and after a string of unconvincing sales people, it was so refreshing to deal with a local business where the whole team are clearly traditional crafts people.

I cannot express how highly I rate John and his team, the shutters are excellent, really well made and have really improved the appearance of my home, I was very nervous about the whole process as I hadn't a clue about what to expect as I didn't know anyone who had had shutters fitted so couldn't go on personal recommendations. In the end I searched for a local company and Devon Shutters came up, just looking a their reviews and pictures of past work encouraged me to take a chance. John and his team were amazing, John was so informative and helpful he really gave me confidence and helped me to choose the shutters I needed. On fitting day, it was an absolute pleasure to have the team from Devon Shutters working here. I am thrilled and I have also been able to use a local business which was very important to me.
