I initially enquired about getting a tattoo by John Lewis, as I was very picky with who I wanted to do it and I liked his work. They came back saying cant you use another guy, John is booked up for months. I thought this was rude but still insisted I have John. After waiting 6 months John contacted me the day before to say he had to go out that day and said Id have to work around him on what time I could have the tattoo, I wasnt impressed with this at all but I had waited 6 months so just went along with it, so I went in that day but at a later time slot. Before coming to the studio I had told John what I wanted, but when I arrived the rose he had chosen was nothing like I had described, I did mention this but he said they are all similaranyway I then proceeded to have the tattoo. Through the sitting John didnt seem very focused and was answering phone calls multiple times during the tattoo which I wasnt impressed with and he didnt end up spending the full day I paid for doing the tattoo. I was charged the full amount despite all these things that happened. I do like the tattoo but I definitely think it could have been better and had more thought put into it. Just felt like I was another person to them and felt no customer focus at all. This was my first tattoo and I didnt feel like that was really understood fully and that I wanted this tattoo to be done exactly how I wanted as it had meaning to me.
