        Booked in for Sunday lunch today, when we phoned they said only have 15:45 available, ok, we'll have it. Thinking must be busy. Oh no, turns out they are running a reduced meal service only a few Sunday roasts left and NO ales on the bar. NOT even there own Abbott. No Atlantic pale either. Very poor..

        Burger h 3 onion rings and a small bowl of salad salad ( 50% lettuce.)Very tasty but a small portion for approximately 12 that was a bit of a shocker. I ordered apple crumble and custard to fill the gap but I was told there wasn't any custard.. A bit disappointing especially as it was the Friday before the bank holiday.. But when it arrived there was custard.. I was told the chef 'found some'.service was slow.. Lots of staff. Not many customers. But it was lacking in attentive cooperation. The manager was doing more than the front of house... How things change

        Had a fantastic birthday meal with friends last night. Been a while since I last came here (2 years) and the food is much better; great portions, nice and hot, loved the coleslaw. Staff were welcoming and friendly. I was treated to a free bottle of wine from the manager for my birthday. 10/10 would come here again. Thank you for a fabulous meal.
