        Used to be one of the best and friendliest pubs in town. Now theres a hostile manageress who doesnt entertain anyone who isnt a regular. I was turned away for having a small dog (dogs are usually allowed in), on a previous visit when allowed a drink order customers were turned away because the pub was over capacity post Covid restrictions. That said, they do the best pork pies in town, whether the manageress will sell you one is another matter
