Barchester - Ottley House Care Home

Ottley House really is a care home. All the staff care and do their utmost to make it a home. Nothing is too much trouble for any of the staff be it laundry, kitchen, maintenance, activities, carers or nurses. They try to give the best quality of life possible to all the residents. My father is a resident at this beautiful home and the care he has received from day one has been outstanding .Each time we visit him hes always clean and happy and the care he receives shines through. The staff are absolutely wonderful with him and very attentive to his care needs , staff are all very friendly and compassionate . The home itself is beautiful and peaceful , has lots of activities for the residents to enjoy and the trips my father has been on have made him smile . Highly reccomend Ottley Care Home . It looks and feels like a spacious hotel with many personal touches. There are pictures and items all around to stimulate residents. There are lots of interesting things including a sensory garden. It's so well organised, they seem to have thought of every detail. It has rooms for family members to share with their relatives such as a cafe and dining room. The whole place feels homely and everywhere is clean. The rooms are well furnished with lots of storage, the bed looks so comfortable (and cosy!) and the staff are lovely, very attentive and caring.

Everyone Ive encountered at Ottley genuinely care for the residents and they appear very well cared for. The home is spotless, the rooms are very comfortable and the food is delicious. The menu is varied and adapted to residents needs. The entertainment provided to residents is excellent, we visited this week and listened to a talk about Florence Nightingale with a very knowledgeable and engaging speaker. It was really interesting and all the residents were involved in the discussions. Delighted with the standard of care provided for my family member.
