        The food was ok but not exceptional given the self hype about 'award winning dishes.' The sting came with the non clarity of the bill. We paid 122 for three people. Three starters, three mains one dessert. Two non alcoholic beers and one bottle of very poor Sauvignon. Service charge. We asked to keep the bill but informed they needed to keep it for their accountant'! As new locals to the area we are very disappointed. The multiple images of various dignitaries on the menu should have been a clue! Unfortunately we will not recommend or re vist.

        The best Indian food in Shrewsbury. Fresh quality ingredients. I had vegetable balti and it was delicious. So many places can not do I good vegetable curry, but Cafe Saffron have got to it right. My partner and I have eaten from here often, and weve never had a bad curry. Excellent service. We were that happy we even phoned the restaurant straight after eating our takeaway just because I wanted to thank them for the lovely food. I hope it made you smile :)
