The man that showed me in was so swift, clear and kind. And there were lots of clear instructions if we needed anything/where we can get assistance etc. And the room was spotless, clean, and so comfortable. You can tell that it is kept at a high standard. The bed was extremely comfortable and it was a simple room with everything i needed and more. I really do feel like i got the best value for my money and i will be staying again when i need to!

On arrival the pub was closed and we had to call a number on the window for a member of staff to come from a location over the road to let us in, the entrance hall had a strange musty smell when you walked in, we paid for a superior family room but ended up with room 2, if that's superior it needs re-advertising, the curtain pole was hanging out the wall, the bedside lamp was faulty and filthy as shown in the pictures, I got locked in the bathroom as there wasn't an handle on the door, luckily the wife was there to open the door, we told the staff of the condition of the room and if they had cleaners but we stayed 2 days and nobody came to fix the light or the curtain pole, or clean, on leaving the premises we had to leave the key in a lock box at the front door, which was also broken, I had to take photos to ensure I had proof I'd left the keys, the hotel really is just a load of rooms above a closed pub but right opposite the train station and right close to the town,
