I found Reggie's by chance when I was buying fancy dress for a work party and I'm so glad I did. This is a whole different gym experience - it's not intimidating; it's really friendly and has a proper community feel; Simon is such a caring and fun personal trainer and you feel really supported (I really enjoyed all the silly conversations we had in between sets); you get much more than just a gym with all the online workouts, yoga classes, diet support and messages; the sessions are genuinely fun and always interesting; it's great having sessions with up to 3 people because you can support each other but it's still a nice small group; and it's so helpful having someone to explain everything to you and make sure your techniques are right. The sessions work for everyone and there are beginners as well as long term lifters - Simon encourages you to keep pushing yourself but there's not the same pressure and intimidation I've seen with other personal trainers, unless that's what you're looking for - he wants you to have a great gym experience as well as great results and tailors that to each person. I actually looked forward to going even after long days at work!!!
Simon would check in with me if I hadn't been in a while to make sure I was doing okay and he is super understanding about everything, as well as motivating. What other reviews have said about feeling like you've got a friend as well as a PT is true. I've met a lot of people who have had incredible results with him and I'm not surprised. Going to Reggie's has really improved my relationship with fitness and boosted my confidence - I've learnt that exercise can be fun and social as will as giving you great results and it's given me the confidence to look at other forms of exercise like climbing and pole.
If you're looking for somewhere to give you motivation as well as great physical and mental results in a safe and encouraging environment, and to make some new friends then this is the place!!
