Nice small cafe, you can sit outside too. The food we ate was nice enough. Kid-friendliness: A kids menu is avabilable.

What the hell are some people on about on here? They arrive and the cafe isnt open so they give a one star review. FGS how can review something that isnt open? How petulant . . . . . Rant over Great location, great food, great coffee and tea, whats not to like about this place? As an expat here on family business, it was great to return to one of my favourite places in Shrewsbury (the weir) and find this delightful cafe just a few short steps from the river. Id visited a few days earlier and had coffee with my dear old Mum and inadvertently left my wallet on the table. When I returned later that day, the team on duty had not only safely retained my wallet, but had also taken the time (unfortunately unsuccessfully), to look for me on social media etc. What stars! Now the other important stuff. That day, the Dirty Chai Latte UNBELIEVABLE, so lush and it was the young Baristas first time at that particular beverage, youd never have know it. Im sorry I didnt get your name, but well done and keep it up. The lemon drizzle cake DIVINE and it all made we want to return for more, which we did today (Wed 26th April), could we get the same high quality service, drinks and food? YOU BET we could and did. Thank you Emily it was a lovely chill time for me, my Mum and her friend after theyd walked along the river from the Quarry. And I still can hardly believe the lemon cake was home baked. Moist, tasty and sooooooo Lemony. Were coming back for more before I return to New Zealand, I promise. Best - John

Excellent independent cafe next to the town weir with very friendly animals to pet and a relaxed, chill ambiance for both families and grown-ups. The location is amazing, with the sound of the weir. The seating is eclectic but comfortable. Food is varied, reasonably priced and looked very tasty. The coffee is fresh-ground, sourced from a local supplier and is probably the best in Shrewsbury ( quite a claim!).
