Little Thatch

Had a lovely weeks holiday, we had lovely hot weather,the house is fantastic and just right for all the family, with added bonus of the cot and high chair, the garden was perfect for my 1 yr old grand daughter. It is lovely to have to The Crown Inn in walking distance, highly recommended the food, we also visited The White Mouse for dinner, food also lovely, saw some beautiful sun sets.

We booked for a week at end of August. All details were handed over in advance and timely manner. On arrival, the self check-in was seamless. Owner had kindly put a starter pack to get going. The cottage was well maintained with a huge garden behind which was quite nice for children. The rooms were large and quite a few other rooms to accommodate a group of 6. We liked all bits of the house. Location is quite key for this cottage as its just 12 min drive to Newport where you can access Sainsbury / M&S etc This was quite handy. You do have a local store which stores the basics. Rural location of the cottage was much appreciated. It was quite well placed for other activity centers also i.e. Blackgang Chine was a 12 min drive or so plus a great beach Compton Bay also within a 10 min drive. All in all I was happy with all aspects and would recommend the place! Looking forward to my next trip there.

Stayed at the little thatch for two weeks in April, fantastic cottage and location. Owners left a welcome starter pack which was appreciated. Self check in good. Any questions were answered quickly. Great garden, enjoyed the sounds of new born lamb's in field's opposite. Recommend stargazing excellent location for it! Will be back again soon

The cottage is amazing, tranquil location within the village of Shorwell. Had everthing we needed for our stay. Well equiped and amazing garden and facilities and views over the surrounding farmland. Every part of the island is within 30 mins of the cottage to explore and Shorwell has a great pub and local village shop stocking everything you need. We'll visit again soon.
