I would not recommend holding your wedding here. We had a very intimate ceremony and there were lots of lulls (guests bored) when we went out to have couples photos done. No music playing and the photographer had to ask a lady to play music as there was no atmosphere in the room at all. We were told wed have biscuits and coffee following dessert and this didnt happen. We planned timings for when wed do speeches etc but we were then told wed have to wait for hours for the DJ to arrive. We paid for 32 guests (minimum is 30) only about half of these turned up, but we wasnt reimbursed for the 2 extra guests and they didnt offer us to bag up/box up the extra food that we paid for (so we wasted money). They took it upon themselves to feed our videographers out of our food that was left over, without asking us if this was okay. The events planner who took over Eszter (Nicola I think her name was) just didnt act interested or engaged at all. Didnt try and get an atmosphere going, only played music when prompted by our photographer and even our photographer came over to us to say dont worry Ive asked her to put some music on at least! We didnt have an announcement when we arrived into the reception room, so never got announced as mr and Mrs to our guests. We wasnt even escorted into the reception room - my husband just said he had enough of waiting around and no one was going in, so he started walking in and we missed our announcement. To top it all off, I paid for copper/rose coloured crystals (OUT OF MY OWN MONEY) and these werent left for us to bring home the next morning so the venue have kept hold of something I PAID FOR ADDITIONALLY (I bought them from Amazon). I do regret having a ceremony here and to read that another person got offered tickets to an event as they couldnt taste test the food (neither could we, but we didnt get the same offer) is just another kick in the teeth. Its a shame as weve come here a few times and I wanted to book the honeymoon suite for future wedding anniversaries etc, but following our special day being ruined, I cant bring myself to come back here. The amount of money weve wasted just doesnt bare thinking about and its a day well never get to have again.
