Nice service, nice pub. Fish finger sandwich was excellent, the fish fingers themselves incredibly tender. The tartar source was of a high quality and in plentiful supply, as was the Heinz mayo. The scampi was tasty but should be called scipmi because the fish content was minimal. Lime and soda was perfect though a bit cold due to unnecessary ice. Filter coffee, not my usual cup, was perfectly acceptable! On a real though, very decent pub :)

Visited this place for the Sunday roast. Well worth the drive - to Shoreham, which is a pretty little village. I had lamb and all the trimmings, which was superb. The wife had steak and ale pie, which she also enjoyed. Food prices are very reasonable. For a country pub, I would have preferred a better range of real ales, but what we had was well served (old school for clear and tasty). I've been before and will go back.

Home cooked food in a pub setting at a reasonable price if this is what you want it is a popular village pub. It is quite a small venue and if busy you are packed fairly tightly,to me it lacks those touches of eating out but okay for a change and for me lunchtime.
