Excellent value and wonderful, friendly service. You don't have to be a pilot to come here. Sit outside and watch the planes.

The attractions of Shobdon airfield are well known in the aviation community which is why it is so busy with arrivals and departures on nice days as people fly from far and wide for a cup of tea and bacon roll in the atmospheric cafe in a Nissen Hut. Excellent cafe offering everything from sandwiches to a choice of meals Inc Sunday lunches. Large viewing area for spectators to enjoy the comings and goings of power planes, gliders, helicopters, microlights and gyrocopters. Occasionally, there is a special treat in the form of a RAF or police helicopters popping in to top up their tanks and tummies.
