    The brass winders are nice, and the black case looks good from outside. But having had a few windows for four years, I am amazed by the poor quality. The inner wooden frames are made of a kind of mdf which warps and is not strong enough to support the brass attachments or winding mechanism, so that it is loose - and we rarely open these windows. I bought a blind, the mechanism of which broke after being opened a few times The blind cost as much as a Velux. I do have Veluxes and blinds which Im very happy with for being reliable, and they looks fine - and they look the same as when first installed! The quality of build of the Rooflight Co. is amateurish in comparison. They dont have longevity and to use cheap material for the inner case, considering the price, is bad.

    We had three Neo electric roof lights for our new house. Within one year the internal casements all cracked and one of the motors stopped working. We reported the problem in August 2021 and it wasnt resolved until March 2022. We registered all three roof lights for an extended 5 year warranty at the time of purchase.November 2022 the same roof light which was fixed in March has stopped working again. The fault has been diagnosed as faulty gas struts which Ive been told are not covered under the warranty. These roof lights are not cheap and the service we have received is just not acceptable. For the reasons I have stated I would not recommend this company.

    To give them one star is already too generous. Our Rooflight was delivered without a remote and it only opens with a remote - we have tried and failed to install a wall switch to avoid having to deal with this company. I have now phoned them four times and my builder has phoned them once asking to order a remote so that we can open our windows and every time they tell me they will 'send an urgent message to the sales team' to get back to me. Nobody has phoned me back, I wait... and as I write this I still don't know how I am going to get my remote since they refuse to answer calls - they all get diverted to an external answer service - and they don't respond to messages.

    Ordered window winder, but the wrong one arrived. On checking, I realised that I had bought the wrong one online. I emailed asking if they would exchange (thinking that I would need to pay for postage and perhaps a re-stocking fee). They replied saying that they would send me the replacement for free. Granted, it isn't an expensive part, but that really is excellent customer service. Thank you Heidi.
