A lovely shop full of treasures - the perfect place to find gifts that are a little bit different plus I usually end up choosing something for myself! We've got a couple of pieces of artwork and furniture from here too, and guests always comment on how lovely they look. So lucky to have such a wonderful independent family shop on our high street.

The Richard Harvey Collection is located close to the main road through Shipston on Stour. The period building has a somewhat Dickensian aspect. The window displays glow with artfully presented furnishings and lighting drawing the shopper into three small showrooms packed with affordable accessories, scarves, jewellery, leather bags, candles, cards, tableware, clocks, paintings and prints designed to enhance the collections of the house proud. This is just the beginning, follow the arrows through a rear door and an attractive path will lead you to a beautifully restored chapel filled with an ever changing display of quality furnishings sourced both locally and world wide. Sustainable mango wood items sit alongside beautifully finished Chinese side boards, leather chairs, sumptuous sofas, side tables, kilims, lighting and mirrors. The whole collection arranged to give you an idea of the impact that might be made in your own home. The whole display is further enhanced by an eclectic and ever changing collection of interesting items from the east.Chests and carved panels from the Swat Valley are displayed alongside spice boxes, vintage tables, occasionally, old chapati tables, washboards and assorted realia, waxed and burnished to a soft sheen. Richard and Louise, the owners and their staff provide the warmest of welcomes, advice and knowledge, should you decide on a purchase it's ready immediately, as long as it fits in the car! If not the delivery service is excellent, coupled with the opportunity to try items at home without obligation. This is a unique business in South Warwickshire and the North Cotswolds, we've been using it for twenty years and our home reflects our taste via the choices we have made during our many and frequent visits to the collection. Ian Balmer and Jackie Soulier.
