Mapperley reservoir car park

A handy car park just north of Mapperley village, adjacent to the lake. At the time of writing it was 2.50 for two hours, 4.50 for four hours or 7.00 all day.

The two car parking payment machines are very slow when you use the card payment options. It is not unusual for them to time out resulting in no ticket being issued and on some occasions payment is taken. I have today , 120323, informed Park Smarter, Derbyshire County Council's car parking agents of this.If you receive a fixed penalty notice or you end up paying twice contest it. For 2.50 to park for two hours we deserve better equipment than the ones fitted at the moment.

It's a nice place, worth 4-5 stars, but prohibitively expensive (4.50 for 4hours!) and the loos have been locked for years.

Expensive parking and slow parking meters. Toilet was locked. However the park is a lovely place for a walk, can get quite muddy though.
