Edward Gaut Violins

A huge thank you, Edward. A beautiful bow re-hair, as always. My Stoss cello has never played better than after the work you did on it last summer. You are very special. Keith Tempest Bristol I picked up my five string Baroque cello fo Edward yesterday, 30th April 2023, after major repair work and I'm so extraordinarily thrilled with Edward's work. It has never played so brilliantly, I am endebted to Edward. I also was priveleged to play one of his recent cellos which I took much joy in getting to know. A beautul and even sounding instrument some lucky person will get to call their own.

Edward Re-haired my Cello bow for me. Excellent job, and speedy, in the same day. I'd highly recommend Edward, who has also done work on my bow previously.

Edward has rehaired my bow a number of times and always does a skilled and dependable job. It's very unusual for a single hair to come off in playing. I tried one of his violins today and it sounds very well ; easy to play, even sound across the strings, good overtones in chords, not nasal or strident on the E, plenty of warmth on the A and D and a vibrant bass on the G. Shouldn't stay in the workshop for long!

Great rehair! Just the right tension on the bow. Hairs with great quality that very quickly got the grip of the rosin, producing an amazing sound on the violin just a few days after the rehair! Totally recommend it!

So pleased with my revamped bow! I emailed over the weekend and I now have a beautifully rehaired bow, new thumb leather and silver wire. Looks as good as new again. Super quick service. Would highly recommend.
