Southern Stoves fitted two woodburners for me, one in 2016 and one earlier this year. I found them to be extremely professional, knowledgeable and helpful, throughout the whole process. An issue arose with the hearth of the woodburner installed this year and this was resolved immediately and to my total satisfaction. Thanks very much. Chris Humphreys

We were looking for a Hetas stove engineer after a family friend whos a qualified building surveyor suggest we have one to check 'tide lines' appearing round chimney breast/ condensation. I made email enquiry 03/11/20.. which took months..earliest date i got appointment was in march 2021 after corresponding 11 emails. A few weeks before appointment told they didnt know time for appointment till day before (12-2pm).. morning of.. brief tex message to say arriving 10-11am. No call. I queried the change only to be tex messaged back ' due to logistics'. waited all morning and tried calling office number and engineer mobile several times in the afternoon. After sending an email i got a reply later from office to say they had attended address, despite I & my wife were home all day (WFH). ** throughout the communication, we think this company are very poor for customer service and we would NOT RECOMMEND this company to anyone ! ** complete waste of our time with complete lack of customer service or any reasonable co-operation.

Southern Stoves installed my stove and chimney liner 7 years ago. During a recent chimney sweep the whole chimney liner gave way due to advanced corrosion. I've just had another HETAS installer reline the chimney and he said of Southern Stoves' installation that it was "The shoddiest work I've ever seen". The liner was cemented in from the top, with no venting and the resultant condensation build up had rotted the liner away and has had a detrimental affect on my expensive stove. Apparently they should also have installed a room vent due to the stove output. Had I more confidence in Chris and team's work I would have got them in to fix the liner as technically it was under warranty, but I'm sorry to conclude Southern Stoves' work is nothing short of cowboy-ish.
