What a great place to stay in a peaceful rural area. We made full use of the hot tub over the weekend. David was a great host - thank you!

Overall, we had a wonderful stay at Vespers. The surrounding area was absolutely stunning and so peaceful, however, there were a few downsides, unfortunately. When initially making the reservation, I selected 2 adults and a dog and was quoted a price. However, after confirming the reservation and making payment, I received an email from StayCotswold, requesting another 40 for the dog. It was my belief that this was already included in the price, as Id specified the dog straight away, however, they said this was not the case. This was resolved, after getting Airbnb involved, but just be aware when booking; it did put a bit of a downer on things straight away. On our last full day there, I also received an email and a text message, from StayCotswold, asking me review our stay, which was a little much, while still trying to enjoy our trip away. I do think the attention to detail was lacking in some areas (certainly not all) too and I believe this comes down to it being hosted by a company, rather than an individual. There were no shower toiletries, as you would usually expect when staying somewhere like that, the glasses and cutlery were dirty, the welcome folder was extremely out of date (there were leaflets in there, dating back to 2011) and the paddle boards were nowhere to be seen. They are only small things, but things that take very little effort and would go a long way. Even a little jar of dog treats would have been very welcome, and a nice gesture, however, our dog wasnt catered for at all. The hosts did leave a bottle of wine, a pint of milk, a packet of biscuits and some crumpets for us humans though, which was greatly appreciated. The veranda also looked nothing like the photo. We were expecting to spend our evenings sat out there, with a nice glass of wine; it looked so inviting in the picture but, in reality, there were just 2 old chairs out there. The neighbouring properties were also closer than expected, so not as private as wed have hoped. Also, if youre planning on going on some walks (there is a lovely walk down to the river, which goes in a loop), make sure you have a decent pair of wellies, as the ground in some areas, including the Vespers private garden, is absolutely saturated. We loved all of the cute little rustic touches, including the curtains on all of the windows, but I would maybe suggest a thicker one in the bedroom area as, although we are not ones to sleep in, we were being woken at 5:30 every morning, due to the bright sunshine coming through. The bed was so comfy, it would have been nice to have slept a little longer. Morning coffees, sat by the open bedroom window, were heaven though, as were the hot showers, and a great way to start the day. I would highly recommend! Vespers was also well located for supermarkets, if needed, there being an Aldi, Waitrose and Tescos just a short drive away. If you get a sunny day, its also lovely to sit in the garden of Ye Olde Swan, just down the road; its located right on the river. We would also highly recommend a trip to the Cotswold Wildlife Park, there is so much to see and the gardens are really beautiful. Burford Garden Centre is also really lovely. Overall, a wonderful stay, but just a few little areas for improvement.

Beautiful property in wonderful setting with excellent facilities for a large group. Just needed to add more cutlery and some dishwaher tablets. Only real criticism was, the cream sofa's were very grubby

Stayed at Cricket Cottage in Ebrington for a long family weekend get together. The service and communication from StayCotswold prior to arrival was excellent, and the communication from the owner was also excellent throughout. The cottage is located in a peaceful village within a few minutes walk of the local and extremely welcoming pub and the facilities throughout feel very new and are ideal for a home away from home stay. Highly recommended
