Cottams Fish & Chips

Disappointed really, after asking if they accepted card payments and being told yes my order was taken, only to be informed payment was cash only but could use the cash machine that was within the premises, which may have been free withdrawal but didn't appear to be but didn't take the time to look. I politely declined and left, I don't envisage a return in the near future, although previous visits were very good with no complaints. I realise it appears to be petty, but if I'd have been told when I'd first enquired, then it would have been a totally different experience.

Always really good fish and chips, fish lovely white and chunky with a really crisp batter been coming here since we moved to Shifnal 7 years ago in fact we had them the first night we moved here with champagne! Never been disappointed always excellent. Also really nice helpful friendly staff.

Top notch chippy, fish is fresh and cooked perfectly, the chicken tikka kebab is excellent, doner is average but still ok. Highly recommended

Hubby grabs food every Tuesday and weve never had a bad meal, great chat and good food. I love the scallops as a treat.
