Vincent was really brilliant from start to finish of the job - I would say he was extraordinary. They have transformed the front garden , giving us the finish we wanted . I cannot thank you enough for such a great job . We shall have Vincent back next year to do our patio , no need to look any further .Please take a good look at V Scapes before you commit to anyone else , there is nothing else to compare , such a high standard of work . Thank you Vincent and team , we love it !

Found Vincent to be extremely helpful and professional. I had about 50m2 of artificial lawn laid and it looks great. Vincent and his team were on time every day and were very respectful of my property. Would use them again for any future projects.

Everything sounded good at quote stage, all my questions answered as I hoped. Then work started. Lots of "this will do" such as laying mot over 150mm thick in one pass, which will never compact, building control told me layers of 50-75mm maximum at a time - this probably because v scapes don't own a whacker plate, so probably only wanted to pay one days rent. After consulting building control, was told work taking place was no good, asked v scapes to change plan in the morning so we could satisfy them, it was challenged with "building control and architects think they know best and are always over the top" As building control don't tend to sign off constructions that fall down and have nothing to gain from their specifications & requests, I'm inclined to trust them over the bloke with the "oh that'll do" favourite phrase. At quote stage was told footings for a retaining wall would be 250mm. I had been told 12 inches minimum by 3 other companies, but thought I wouldn't split hairs over 50mm. But when work commenced v scapes told me 6 inches deep was "more than adequate" and "almost all the footings I've dug are 6 inches deep"- I challenge you to find anyone, or anywhere that says a 6 inch footing for a 3ft tall retaining wall is sufficient, I couldn't. All I could find was in clay or poor ground (Im on clay, as is most of Telford) dig to 18 inches. Asked to dig down to 10-12 inches, was charged for the privilege - was in quote as far as I was concerned, unfortunately I didn't ask for the quote to be that detailed so was unable to challenge. Was asked to arrange concrete delivery, which I thought was odd - this then leaves you in the fantastic position where v scapes has you on deposit, as does the concrete firm and then you have to juggle the two, which gets more difficult when I was asked to delay delivery three times, then discovered v scapes just didn't have the money to organise themselves (one firm delivering materials refused to drop on the drive before work commenced one day as they were owed money), I was also asked to pay a previously undiscussed installment mid job as "cash flow was tight" In fairness due to weather, my property was already a mess, but I was out for several hours everyday to clean up, no offer or attempt of any kind from v scapes to clean up. As I had tools out several of my tools used without asking. Cans of pop, used blades, screws, wrappers left around my garden and driveway. I got close to what I wanted, but it was much, much more hassle and stress than it should have been.
