You could not ask for a nicer place to stay, my wife and I came down from Kilmarnock to stay for a week. We arrived after it was dark but the owners had kindly left a light on so we could see exactly where we were going. Inside the lodge was beautiful well set out and all lovely furnishings, we just had a quite night but in the morning when we woke up in the daylight we couldn't believe how nice the lodge and all the surroundings were. really pleased. The birds and the squirrels eating from the feeders was nice to watch. Later on that first morning the owners Jake and Lauren came over to introduce themselves and said hello, what a lovely couple. They told us to make ourselves at home and if you need anything just give us a call. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you could ever think of, bed was so comfy, plenty of towels, heats up in no time, shower was great and everything was spotless.There are loads of places of interest nearby and certainly plenty of eating places, you will absolutly enjoy your stay. For a young couple to have only been here a few years they have certainly made their mark and we would like to offer them every success for the future

Had a great stay at wood lodges fishing a bit quiet which is expected in this time of year but still caught , no need for big rods and buzzers lake not big enough pole and feeder rod will do or if you don't have a pole just float fish with rod,Lauren and Jake where very welcome and nothing to much trouble lodges were perfect I think lake would benefit from some bream in and f1s
