Enjoyed an excellent meal here. A beautiful, historic pub with friendly, welcoming and attentive staff. Waitress took the trouble to check if anything was already sold out before leaving us to read the menu, which avoided the disappointment of choosing something to find it wasn't available. All our meals were really good and there was a good choice of beer too. Really recommend a visit to this pub - it was surprisingly quiet for a Friday evening and deserves to be busier!

Reasonable pub. Excellent staff. Food is very ordinary. Typical pub menu. My burger was good, but absolutely nothing stand out. Very uninteresting, but quite edible. I did manage to find the advertised sliver of bacon. My companion's scallops were very 'spongy', so were left, but the accompanying sea bass was good. The apple tart seemed half baked, with sloppy pastry, but was warm and... apple-y. All in all, ilnot a bad experience, but not a recommendation.
